Scattering Theory （Nuclear Physics）
Scattering theory in quantum mechanics is quite difficult to understand properly. The basic reason must be due to the fact that it is not a bound state problem in quantum mechanics, but it is a scattering problem in which the energy E is given as an initial condition of the scattering procedure. Here, I decided to upload my lecture note in my home page since it should not be very easy to understand it right on the spot in my lecture.
In modern physics, most of the information can be obtained from scattering experiments in which people measure the outgoing particles after the incident particles collide with targets. Therefore, it should be crucial to understand the scattering theory when people want to analyse experimental observations.
I hope that this lecture note should help graduate students understand the scattering theory in quantum mechanics in depth.
